Small-group Equine-Facilitated Learning sessions are a unique and transformative way for friends, partners, families, or teams to explore relational patterns and emotional awareness together. Combining the wisdom of horses and mindfulness tools from yoga, these sessions create a supportive environment where each person has space for personal insight—as well as shared connection.
Sessions begin with a 60-minute group discussion and orientation covering horse behavior, safety, and the foundational concepts of emotional congruence and embodied presence. From there, each participant receives approximately 30 minutes of one-on-one active time with one of the horses, while the others observe. This observational element is often just as powerful as participating directly; it offers perspective, mirrors personal dynamics, and deepens group understanding.
Activities are unmounted and tailored to each individual and the dynamics of the group. Common themes include mindful communication, healthy boundaries , emotional regulation, collaborative problem-solving, leadership, and how to be powerful without using force.. The horses respond in real time, offering honest feedback that is never judgmental—only clear, grounded, and deeply insightful.
Session lengths vary based on group size, typically ranging from 3 to 4 hours, allowing everyone ample time for their own experience and group integration. No horse experience is necessary; Mandy will guide the group with clarity, warmth, and an emphasis on safety and emotional support.
