A private Equine-Facilitated Learning (EFL) session with Mandy offers a powerful opportunity to reconnect with yourself through the honest, intuitive presence of horses. Drawing from Mandy’s training with Linda Kohanov and Eponaquest Worldwide, as well as her years of teaching mindfulness and yoga, these sessions blend emotional attunement, somatic awareness, and experiential learning in a grounded, accessible way.

Each 90-minute session unfolds quietly and organically, beginning with a mindful arrival and an introduction to the horse’s natural social and emotional cues. From there, you’ll engage in unmounted activities that explore themes such as healthy boundaries, emotional regulation, communication, leadership, self-trust, and intuitive awareness.

Horses respond to your internal state—not your words—offering immediate and compassionate feedback that helps you understand how you’re truly showing up.  These sessions are ideal for anyone navigating transition, stress, burnout, relationship patterns, confidence challenges, or simply seeking a deeper connection with themselves and the natural world.

No prior horse experience is required. Mandy will guide you with clarity, safety, and warmth every step of the way.

How to prepare

To get started, inquire today to set up your session with Mandy.  No horse experience is necessary.  All participants must complete the release of liability form prior to arrival.  Closed toes shoes must be worn at all times when working with horses.  We suggest coming prepared for changing weather conditions as our facility is outdoors.

What they say
Testimonial
"I came into my session not knowing what to expect, and left feeling more clear and grounded than I had in months. Mandy holds such a calm, steady presence, and the horses reflected things I didn’t even realize I was carrying. Nothing felt forced — it was gentle, honest, and incredibly powerful. I’m still noticing the shifts weeks later."

FAQ
Do I need to know anything about horses?

No. In fact, we have found that individuals with no prior horse experience often find it easier to connect with horses in this way.

What if it rains on the day of my session?

Because our facility is located outdoors, we are unable to proceed with sessions during hazardous weather conditions. You will not be charged for any sessions cancelled due to weather.

What if I need to cancel my session?

We understand that life happens. We ask that you cancel your session at least 24 hours in advance. 50% of your total session will be charged for cancellations made without 24 hour notice.

Can I bring someone with me to observe?

We ask that only participants are present during sessions. There may be an additional staff member on site to assist with horse handling.

What if I’m afraid of horses?

It is common for humans to have some fear of these immense and powerful animals. We find that working in partnership with horses with this work can really help individuals who have fear. Your safety is of utmost importance and we will always be present with you to ensure you are safe. Letting us know in advance of your session of any fears you have will help us select the most appropriate horse for you to partner with for your session.
